I've been looking for an alternative to beads and a way to secure the ends of my African Threaded styles so my girls can wear their hair down the way they like. I think the SIDEWINDERS found on hairholders.com may be my solution. Here's what I've done.

ReplyDeleteI just found your blog... Your profile is me to a T... We adopted 2 African American basically from birth. they are now 6 & 7 yrs old & I am still overwhelmed at their hair. It won't grow & is always dry no matter what I seem to do. I have spent so much $$$ on trying new products. I was having their hair braided every 3 months, but just started to do it myself in twists.. I hope to be able to learn from you. I just have no idea where to start!!
ReplyDeleteHey Ms-gg! Thanks!
ReplyDelete@Bren Welcome. Take your time--you'll figure it out. I recommend following the "beginners" label on the left side of this blog. Also, "attitudes about nappy hair." You'll find both practical tips and some insight about my philosophy about nappy hair. This type of hair loves you back when you work with it.
